About the Artist

I believe that light has a remarkable way of finding us, even after life's darkest seasons.

My paintings are born from that belief.

Working in layers of oil paint, I create atmospheric abstract landscapes that explore healing, resilience and the quiet return of hope. Rather than depicting a particular place, each painting invites the viewer into an emotional landscape where light, texture and atmosphere become a space for reflection and personal connection.

Painting has become far more than a creative practice; it has become a way of making sense of life's experiences. Every layer represents a moment of growth, every texture holds a memory, and every passage of light speaks of the possibility of renewal. I don't seek to hide what has come before. Instead, I allow each layer to remain part of the finished work, reflecting the belief that our experiences shape us without defining us.

Each painting represents a different chapter in a journey from darkness towards light, exploring themes of sanctuary, resilience, awakening, belonging, harmony and emergence.

While every work is rooted in my own experiences, I intentionally leave space for the viewer to discover their own story within each piece.

Where Light Returns is ultimately a collection about what remains and what begins to emerge when we find our way back towards the light.

“I want my paintings to offer more than something beautiful to look at.”

My hope is that they create moments of stillness in an increasingly busy world, moments where we can pause, reconnect with ourselves and perhaps find something within the work that feels familiar.

Every original painting is created by hand in my studio, built slowly through layers of oil paint, texture and light. I allow each piece to evolve intuitively, responding to what emerges rather than working towards a predetermined image.

Perhaps that is why I never want to prescribe what a painting should mean. The story begins with me, but once the work leaves my studio, its meaning belongs to the person standing in front of it.
